The old time FPS you could just do that. Pick up and play and then save your progress at any time.

If you get a few games, would love to see that list. I tried Void B*stards, I like the cell shaded art style, the runs were just a bit too long for me to play in a short burst and remember where I left off when I pick it up again

Severed Steel, Neon Echo and Hi Fi Rush. All look good and play very well on the Ally. Severed Steel is really cool as in bullet time, fly across the hall, shoot the bad guys or kick them down, parkour sort of way.

I'm bad with platfomers and Hi Fi Rush had me stumped occasionally. But managed to clear a few platforms. They have accessibility options for the fight but not for platforming.

I'm think of getting SIFU as a beat-em up.

I'm terrible at platforming type of stuff. In Ghostrunner I can't even clear the demo stage where you have to use the vents or something. I have the game on PS plus as downloaded but tried the Demo on the Ally and glad I didn't buy it. Got DJ MAX V also but the controls on the ally just don't work for me. So refunded it. Instead went with Muse Dash. That's a fun little game with dozens of songs.

I've got Shogo MAD and Unreal Gold (1998 one) on there as well, from yonks ago, when they only did old games. I have the original FEAR on CD somewhere and Return to Wolfenstein on CD that I purchased on Take2. Also have pirate CD copies of Unreal from 1999 on CDR. Also have Oni on CD-ROM and I see that game's not on steam but on abandonware sites.

With a dock you can connect a usb disc drive, which is what I'll plan to do to test somethings.
If Crysis Remaster can hit 45 to 60 fps at medium those older games will fly, if you can get them working

Passes 85W power over PD, so should be able to power the ROG with a 100W charger. If it fails on the ROG at least will be useful for computer/iPad use.

Well Unreal Gold does not work with joystick controls and only mouse/keyboard and as I don't have a BT one I'll have to wait for the dock.

Well my device keeps on getting the driver replacement thing. I think it happens when it goes to sleep. And then it becomes slow as heck as well. I will disable the sleep options in Armory Crate. I have to say that the Rog Ally is really becoming more and more a piece of sh-t device.

I've got no driver issues, very odd that you do, drivers also don't come from armoury crate, check the settings in Windows and Myasus

I actually hit the storage limit and things started to moan. Bitlocker wanted the unlock code that I don't have lol.

I ended up doing a cloud recovery but armory crate and myAsus app didn't work, i couldn't load the windows store either so that was a bust. I then had to do a reset from windows settings, choosing to wipe everything. Interestingly enough this didn't nuke the asus apps and once I got through initial setup, everything worked again.

So my lesson is leave enough space available lol

Well my device keeps on getting the driver replacement thing. I think it happens when it goes to sleep. And then it becomes slow as heck as well. I will disable the sleep options in Armory Crate. I have to say that the Rog Ally is really becoming more and more a piece of sh-t device.

Apparently, you can disable this from registry editor as well. I've gone ahead and used GPO to disable mine.
I dunno chaps, with all the additional cash we spend on accessories, might just be worthwhile for you guys to upgrade to pro @ R85 ?

I actually hit the storage limit and things started to moan. Bitlocker wanted the unlock code that I don't have lol.

I ended up doing a cloud recovery but armory crate and myAsus app didn't work, i couldn't load the windows store either so that was a bust. I then had to do a reset from windows settings, choosing to wipe everything. Interestingly enough this didn't nuke the asus apps and once I got through initial setup, everything worked again.

So my lesson is leave enough space available lol

This is after disabling all start up apps I don't use, uninstalled a lot of the crapware.
I didn't run any debloaters though, which I don't believe makes much difference anyway.

I've got no driver issues, very odd that you do, drivers also don't come from armoury crate, check the settings in Windows and Myasus

Drivers don't come from Armory Crate but it has two sleep options. I noticed that this usually happens after the device wakes up. I've disabled both options, set to "off".
It's called "Eco Assist".

Today Windows did an update when booting up and things are still OK, device still has a working GPU.

Maybe you guys are not using an SD card and that's why there is a problem on my device. My SD card is 100% functional, it's the Samsung Pro Plus which came with the IC bundle.
