I have been using the Pace 921 VNX since beginning of Feb on my 20mbps VDSL but Pace does not seem to support VPN passthrough and have tried in vain to link up with my work VPN. In my installation the Pace is super stable , but very restrictive. Looking to replace it with the Asus DSL -N66U, however there are reports that this router is not so great either and at +/-R3K is not cheap enough to give it a try and throw it back in the box if its a nightmare.
Anyone using the Asus on a VDSL connection that can give me their impressions and feedback.

I got the Asus N66U and it works great and is really stable and fast. I connect to work using VPN regularly without issues. Remember though that it is only a Router and not a ADSl Modem so you will still need a modem to get the ADSL connection working.

I had some initial stability wobbles but after a firmware updates it runs great.

The RT-N66U is not a xDSL modem but the DSL-N66U is, OP was just inconsistent between the body of his post and the title. As far a I know the DSL-N66U is a pretty good router, I'm just not sure how good it would run on the Telkom network. What modem are you using douglasl?

You should be able to use the Pace as a modem for the RT-N66U. The VPN should then work.

I use a Zyxel as a VDSL modem for my RT-N66U.
