Hi there,

I am in the market for an ultrabook and am thinking of getting this.

here are the specs. seems quite decent for 17K. Can anyone ecommend any alternatives

It looks nice, very nice but it's an ASUS. What's the build quality like?

I'd personally get a 875g Lavie Z if I was in the market for an ultrabook right now, for a similar price, but an i5 CPU and 128GB SSD for 17,500 VAT excl. (R22.5K for the same spec'ed model as the Taichi.)
 
ASUS is considered extremely good in terms of build quality of their laptops.


Every review so far has mentioned the fantastic build quality.

after lots of reading, i think i am about 80% sure to go for this.
