AT&T HTC One X need help getting data working with Vodacom

Hi, i'm from Canada and recently moved to Cape Town. I have an AT&T HTC One X that is rooted/unlocked and has Viper XL 3.2.8. I got a sim card from VodaCom, but it was too big, so i found someone who cut it into a mini size, and that worked well. After putting the sim card in, i successfully connected, loaded my vodacom voucher and can make voice calls & text. However, data is not turning on. I'm not sure if my problem is something to do with needing APN info to make a manual connection, or something else. Any ideas?

For future reference, i had to create a new APN with the name internet

Your Voda sim should have automatically updated your phone with the correct APN....
