At work and still drunk

But this is exactly what he is/did.

I mean WTF

That is a retarded thing to do. He can be very glad he doesn't work for me ;)
Phone me and tell me you're drunk and stay at home. Don't come to work drunk. It's shows a lack of discipline and self respect. I can understand going to work Babelas but drunk ? WTF

He drove to work drunk. He is at work drunk and not in a state of mind to be working, puting other people at risk as well as the company and their revenue.

At the risk of defending something I don't agree with let's be honest:
1: The guy is not paralytically drunk. He was able to log onto MyBB and post a coherent message.
2: You don't know that he drove to work drunk and he might in fact be a position at work that the "danger" to himself or others is minimal.
3: I doubt that he even knew he would wake up this morning still drunk.

Hope he hurts himself doing something retardedly stupid
That's not on, man. Wishing harm the guy for something so insignificant and potentially harmless is really a k@k thing to do.

I am with adelp just drink a lot of water and start taking headache tablets as soon as you are coming down-good luck and have a fantastic day;)

LOLZ!! And it is going to be a fantastic one..... most of us have learned the lesson.... never drink on a week night and if you do fake a migrane:D

Come on. If he drank so much last night to still be drunk this morning, he knew. At the very least it shows incredibly bad judgement for drinking that much last night, and even worse judgement in going in to work.

Please don't. It casts doubt on those of us who really do get debilitating migraines.

Although one of the younger ones on this forum, I'll have to agree with Pitbull on this issue. I mean, honestly, going to work drunk is so stupid...you really must have little self-respect if you do such a thing. I'd also fire this dude. If you see this employee getting 'comforted' for their hang-over, it might create a culture where most of your workforce (if you are a small company) is coming in with hang-overs because they saw it was acceptable with the first employee.

Pitbulls in a sour mood these days... Attacking everyone for small things...

That was not an attack ;) I was trying to highlight to this kid how fk'ng stupid his actions is and how annoyed I am with him boasting about it on a public forum. It has nothing to do with being sour :p

Yes, because after you've had enough to get you drunk your judgement is on top form!

Granted he should not have gone into work though (this being the part I mentioned disagreeing with)

Thats a pitbull for ya! :p

Anyway, guess the OP has no selfcontrol in life. One knows when one is going to work. When I go out with friends during the week I leave at 11 or 12, despite all their begging and pleading, and I don't drink myself into a state because I know I need to drive.

The mole has no selfcontrol...

I'm sorry mate, people like this piss me off endlessly.

Ok...correction...I'm not drunk as in "wow bru" kind of drunk...this more like an uber extensive babelas, u know the one that makes u kind of just not feel "all there"...but yes coming to work in the first place in this state was stupid, but it was our works end year function last night (and everyone here(or most people) are in the same boat i'm in. So dont feel to guilty about it, and the whole place is almost closed already, and just the skeleton staff that came in

I tend to disagree with your statement regarding Pitbull. I actually agree with him! It is irresponsible to drink that much knowing you have work the next day! I went to a concert last night, but did not drink, because I have work today. It just shows disregard for your work and co-workers. Go home and sleep it off!

You guys are over reacting. You can't tell you have never gone out only to get back at 4:00 am and then get up at 6:00 am and go to work. I've done it plenty of times when I was younger and the punishment is inhert in the act.

I think it's actually worse calling in sick cause that means you have a problem.

You guys don't see the facts in front of you, it was their xmas function last year and i am almost 100% anyone from that company is in the same boat.

Pit dude why you so agro these days, strange you seemed to change personality over night.

Your employers are stupid then hahaha...

Ours was at a Dros during the week too (last week). Everyone behaved themselves and there was no problem the following day... I was amazed lol.

No, we are not over reacting. I have never went out till 4 and got up at 6. Thats just me. I do drink, and I do party weekends, but to go out in the week when you are supposed to work - and get PAID for it - just is not on. You should then get paid half day as you will not be productive as you would have been did you not go out!

Coming in to work drunk or staying at home drunk = a problem. No matter how you look at it. I prefer honesty and this way I can acertain if my employee has a problem or not. If it happens once every few months so be it. One day's leave and no harm done.

If he rocks up at work drunk, I will fire him on the spot no questions asked.

I want people with a backbone and integrity working for me. If you have none then I have no place for you.

Yup. The judgement part comes in BEFORE you get that drunk.

Woah, you've gone a bit astray. Some people can in fact go out during the week and be productive. What we're discussing here is coming to work drunk...and as the OP has clarified he did not mean paralytically drunk, but rather was suffering from a hectic hangover (which again some of us can work through and be productive despite the pain)
