does anyone know what the "Atheros eXtended Range" feature under wireless settings on the netgear DG834GT mean?
how does it affect wireless connectivity?

It is supposedly some fancy non-standard 802.11 Super-G implementation that allows wireless cards/routers using the Atheros chipset (Netgear WG311 or 511T) to reach much further distances than the spesification allows.
