Things look good for EVA3. The 6 gyroscopes they replaced seem to be functioning nicely. Hubble needs 2 to orientate properly, 3 of the previous six where failing so now Hubble will have some ample redundancy!
They still need to install a new battery. The existing batteries have been functioning for 19 years although they only had a expected lifetime of 5 years!
The last EVA is reaching completion. The last ever Hubble repair mission is almost finished with the astronauts now entering Atlantis after successfully replacing a battery, a fine guidance sensor and NOBL (New Outer Blanket Layers) on the HST.
Great work from the Atlantis astronauts! It was an amazing thing to watch.
