Hi All,

So I am on the CLASSIC PRO 3.5gb package at R599 per month.

Today I just happened to open up the iburst page and look at the prices as a friend was inquiring.

The packages have changed and they did not inform me. They did not inform my friends who are also on iBurst.

R599 now gets you a 5gb package and the 3gb is R449. They've created new packages instead of changing the current ones so current users will still be on the more expensive pacakges while new customers will be benefitting from the cheaper ones.

It is unacceptable. Everybody please check the packages and change where necessary.

You can go to http://www.iburst.co.za/migration to change your package.

This falls into that category of the "enthical behaviour" iburst was accused of not too long ago.

This has been discussed ad-infinitum since they launched the new packages in April.

They continuously deny that they did not inform their existing clients and as we have been saying all along, they did not advise their existing clients. Their response to that - you should have been watching out for the adverts in the print media and TV - laughable to say the least.

Shaun, once again this proves that there is a serious lack of communication on the pasrt of iBurst and you guys need to rectify it it immediately. If I were you, I would make a concerted effort to go on a drive to ensure that each and every-one of your clients is sent correspondence in all manner and form.

What you should be able to do is identify the clients who are still on the old packages and contact them immediately to ensure that there are no more psots like this. Yes, it is work, but hell, at the end the day it will end a lot of critisism and unhappiness.

But that would mean they'll be getting less money.

Anyway, when last did iburst do something to actually help their clients?

True, i just called them and they claim that they could not change me over automatically. The packages was changed 1 April.

lmao you must have been living under a rock only to see this information now...

least now you've been enlightened!

Still not listening!

After countless discussions on this forum, press coverage etc. etc. they STILL REFUSE TO LISTEN to what their customers want!

CHOICE!

Busy checking out ADSL options SERIOUSLY now as we speak.

You will be receiving my cancellation letter as soon as my ADSL is connected.

Soon to be Goodye iBurst you bunch of money grabbing #***holes!

Look into Neotel ... they have a wireless option and promise connection in 48 hours. I would be going that route (I am month to month on iBurst ... or is that iTrickle)) but I am leaving ...

I only learnt about the “upgrades” when I joined MBB in august, Iburst never informed me off ****, I immediately changed my account, that took a month, I was so pissed that they have been ripping me off since April, I tried to demand a refund, but that was like sticking needles in my eyes, painful and extremely useless.

I don't think you guys will be impressd with their modems. It doesn't support Ethernet :(

Neotel is another iBurst... it is all rosy and honeymoon period right now but we will see later down the line how things pan out and I predict them to be as shoddy as iBurps

As far as SA ISPs go and even though some here don't like them I'm happy with telkom for over 14 months with no problems at all with either connection or accounts, I doubt very much that neotel would or could be any better than telkom.

That been said, if neotel do prove to be better in the long run then I would consider a change, until then I'll stay with telkom.

If that works out, I'll stay with the devil I know then.

iBurst ripoff

Same problem for me.
eMail and phone calls have yielded nothing.
Complaints on hellopeter go unreplied.
It is time for us to pack it in with this bunch of fraud artists and look elsewhere.
Neotel is reputedly about to bring out a modem with a network connection to allow sharing, and 10Gb for R599 with the extras looks good.
