Johannesburg - Municipalities have joined the push to break the stranglehold Telkom has on the South African telecommunications market.

Telkom, which faces competition from a number of providers, says it is not too perturbed at the likelihood of further erosion of market share as it believes it is strongly positioned to compete effectively in a liberalised market.

I predict a catastrophic break down within 18 to 24 months from which they will never recover, they will try... but will be like a fly trapped on a sticky strip, grasping at straws as endless lame ideas and concepts sink them further into the quagmire of failing revenues and customers - within 36 months the bail out plan is hatched and six months after that Telkom will succumb to the same fate as the Egyptian deity and be chopped up neatly into tiny little bits
