Loved the series. Hopefully the CGI in the movie is decent.


Attack on Titan (進撃の巨人 Shingeki no Kyojin?) is a Japanese dark fantasy action film directed by Shinji Higuchi and based on the manga series of the same name by Hajime Isayama.[1] The film will be split into two parts,[2] with the first part released in Japan on August 1, 2015 and the second part, titled Attack on Titan: End of the World (進撃の巨人 エンド オブ ザ ワールド Shingeki no Kyojin: Endo obu za Wārudo?), immediately to follow on September 19, 2015.

I'm yet to watch the series. Is it as good as Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Berserk, Death Note?
 
When are we getting a Naruto LA? There was LA's for plenty of other anime's, not to mention stage plays.
 
Any other series like Attack on Titan or Code Gease?
You can call it 'war anime'.
Looking for something good to watch but need something with a couple of episodes, high quality animation and quite new(2010-2015).

Not a very cohesive or sensible anime either tbh, and too long to really fit into a feature film. But cult following nonetheless. If there's any likelihood that it would work in the west then it will be remade there, just like Hachiko, Oldboy, Millenium Trilogy etc.

The manga is ongoing so it's a bit difficult to just it just on a single season. But movie adaptations rarely work, especially when it's only a single installment.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS(?)

Just watched it. Can't ever compete with the anime but I still found it entertaining. The super Erin fight scene was a nice homage to the old Japanese monster-destroying-a-city movies. Part two with Annie should be good!

There's also a game being developed for PS4.

Watched it with my daughter a few nights back - she kept on about how it didn't follow the series ito character relationships. Had a good laugh at the main charachter (Erin?) he seemed to loose the ability to walk properly early on in the movie:)

Not nearly as engaging as the anime...
 
Japanese live action adaptations rarely work. Tend to be overdramatised and low, low budget.
