+1

Lower attack speed = less spirit gained = less survivability as a monk

It'll take Blizz a few months to realize what they're doing to Monks, then we'll get fixed :p

This kinda sound like the OP Hunters from WOW after patches...

DH QQ ? :D

They have warned ppl for weeks now already regarding this. The stat was broken since it was being stacked on every item. Note that Quivers speed will not be nerfed

yes, its so frustrating.
i have a DH,monk and Barb all 60 all in inferno and all going to be affected big time.

im a huge diablo fan but this is turning more and more into a joke as we go along, im starting to loose faith. and many many have already. no expansions mentioned yet ether. they need to start making it better not worse.

i understand some of the nerfs, but this one is going too far. it will affect every character in every way

Bud I hear what you're saying, but it's not the be-all and end-all? It just means that everyone isn't looking for one stat on a weapon, which I agree with.

I can understand how you'd be upset when you've invested millions into your gear (I'd be a tad upset too), but it's always the risk that is taken buying items early in this game's lifecycle. I see this change as them making the game better... if I HAVE to find a weapon with attack speed to survive later acts, then something is wrong with the game. While I'm frighteningly unhappy that my near once-in-the-game drop will be rendered useless come patch 1.1, I'm happy that legendaries are being changed to (hopefully) match their rarity...

This nerf is in no way as devastating as the Wizard one was for me. There I was enjoying my 4700 HP (no vitality) Wizard in Inferno and bam came the Energy Armor - Force rune nerf, without any warning.

Guess how much fun it was to sit with a Wizard with awesome dmg, but no HP that could not even do Nightmare and no gold to buy a whole new set :)

Yes it was a broken (or not working as intended) ability, just like attack speed is currently broken and is getting fixed. At least ppl had weeks to prepare for it this time round.

The fact that 15% IAS was roughly equal to 225 primary stat when primary stat = 1500 is very broken

yes, i understand what you saying that there where guys taking advantage of it running crazy stats, but what about the normal guys struggling. its gotta be harder for the guys running crazy attack speeds but still easy and for the guys running average stats they gonna suffer.

there are guys running 160k-180k DPS DH's not they gonna feel much of a 25% loss in attack speed but what about me running 60K, im gonna feel it big time.

my monk does 8K damage he is gonna drop down to like 5K or lower, basically impossible to play with in inferno even with the inferno nerfs.

just feel like i worked hard to get where i am now they nerfing it but the guys taking advantage not even gonna feel it that much

Maybe test the new changes before you comment?

there will be new ways found to conquer inferno ;)

agreed,i will try it and see, but i think its gonna be a big change

Jip, also thinking it is gonna hurt me a tad but as a rule I try and get a more balanced boost from equipment as when nerfs strike i am not that effected.

oh and they nerfing nether tenticals the last useful skill on DH

i suppose this is goodbye.

i mean yes they fixing inferno, but they are messing the classes up even more now.

i would rather have inferno crazy difficult but my attack speed and nether tenticals back.....
this sucks big time

50%? seriously u guys think this is ok?

i have well balanced builds not dependant on att speed alone , but this will affect everyone big time

and nerfing nether tenticals........... aaaaahhhhhh idiots!!!

Dude seriously, moan less, play more. Your class is so OP atm they can nerf all his abilities by 50% and it will still be superior to the melee classes. In blue hell gear or gear that costs next to nothing you can do 3 x the dps of my Wizard in Act 2/3 gear and 15 times the dps of my Barb in endgame gear...

The nerf is definitely ok. Attack speed being the best stat in D3? Being better than your class primary stat? That's just crazy and stupid and needs to be fixed.
Just the fact that you going on like a WOW Hunter after a patch (thus its been your main stacking stat) shows perfectly that is broken and the fix is needed.

Other people who did not throw all their eggs into one basket and/or took notice when Blizzard said weeks ago they going to fix Attack Speed are not to fuzzed about it.

If you want to say goodbye and stop playing D3 cause of this I'm sure neither Blizzard or other PPL here will even notice... kinda silly

I'm lucky in that I've been using Inna's Leggings and Boj Anglers, both with bugged attack speed, so I gain the IAS from that but lose 50% to the nerf only lowering it from 42% down to 34% overall :D

Items like Rings with +crit and +critdmg should start to rise in price once people figure out it's probably worth more than +6 or +7 IAS in most cases, keep an eye out for gear like that, gloves and offhands can have up to 10% crit.

Not with the incoming enemy damage nerfs no. Monks aren't as gear dependent as Barbs are and can already tackle quite a bit of Inferno with a bit of luck and some skill. The nerf tomorrow will make Inferno a breeze imo, Act 1 was a complete walkover when I first arrived and they're modeling the rest of the Acts around it.

Stick with it if you're enjoying it.
