Please do not install Router equipment on masts that is not in Grounded Metal Enclosures The CPU's radiate absolute junk and they flood the ~100Mhz frequency range... which happens to be in Emergency and Security services bands.

If networking cables are needed, use CAT5 STP or CAT6 .. NOT the garden variety stuff

It desensitising the emergency equipment! If you need to install wifi radios on a mast with HF equipment, study WHAT is on the mast already and get the frequency charts ,then ask the HF owner/maintainance if there is any inteference caused.

True that - it was recently brought to our attention on a couple of towers we've got kit on.

In Mikrotik - the RB230 radiates far less than the RB500's... and running on 48v also minimises the radiation...

and running on 48v also minimises the radiation...

From reading the wisp lists I thought it was the other way around, using 48v gives more interference then using lower voltage PSU's

The RB500 has a known problem with interference. There is a very easy and small mod that will clear this up (it does require some skill with a soldering iron though). I will post a photograph for those interested.
