Audi A1

I agree the A1 is a very good car, I just think it's a tad overpriced given the fact that in standard spec it's rather bare bones.

Yeah, that still means nothing to me. The same way that the oscars usually points out which films i should ignore completely.
I am quite keen to test drive the A1, and will revise my opinion then, but its just too expensive and too slow.
 
Would be nice to see a side by side of the following:

A1 v Mini v Fiat 500 v MiTo. Anyone keen to do an analysis ? :)

I think Mybb should pull its power and get us a motoring review section.
I would be more than happy to go around, test drive cars and give reviews and pics of them.

we can have suggestions for possible mash ups / comparisons!

Wonder if local dealers would be interested in this?

the only thing premium on the audi a1 is the price
floor mats are even an optional extra cost but standard on the new polo which sells for R150k net?
 
Anyone done the Audi A1 driving experience? (Havent read the whole thread).
They take you drifting sideways around pillars in the Melrose Arch parking lot.
Oh my good **** its fun :D Did it on Sunday. You have to try it out!

I bet the best interior in the world doesn't come standard on the Polo ;)

They wouldn't let me drive the car. How can you have a car on show and not let people drive it?
 
I know this is an old thread! But I just went from a 1.6 Polo to a 1.4 Audi A1 and I couldn't be happier, it feels so much more premium and more "va va va vooom".. Really do love this car. Going 160kmph on the highway (I know I shouldn't) my Polo use to rattle.. The Audi feels more "heavy" and solid, doesn't make a sound. The only thing that sometimes annoys me is the automatic engine on and off when holding in brakes, I'm not use to it.. But going from a manual to an automatic wasn't that bad.. Nice car!

Not at all! It's actually quite spacious in the front (3 door), the back isn't bad, similiar to my Polo. The boot size is smaller though. But this car is flying, I think it's 20kw more than my Polo 1.6!
 
Almost anything is an upgrade from that Polo so I can understand your excitement :p

Hell yeah! I love it :) And the sound system is pretty decent! In my Polo, the sound system would make all the parts rattle and shake and stuff, sounded horrible. Everything is so solid in this car! I haven't seen any other Audi A1's with 2 exhausts (haven't started paying attention till now) but mine has, and trust me, in sports mode it sounds so yummy :)
