Hi People, I just broke my armrest lid clip, so I have to replace the entire lid which cost about R1.5 - R1.8. I there a scrapyard in around PTA West/ North that specialises with genuine Audi parts?
Thanks

The clip in my Jetta's armrest has broken a couple of times. Cost of clip: R25 from VW. Surely it will be similar for the Audi?

I have no idea, I did call Audi, in fact I was there this morning but they said they need to replace the entire lid???

Obviously they would say that - it's the more expensive option :D

try going in to the parts department and see if they can get u a clip
if not there are plenty scrapyards in pretoria west
but they are pricey items, even in scrapyards cos usually want to add them to cars that never had in the first place and they prob wont sell u just a clip

On the Audi the entire lid gets replaced for a broken clip, yes it sucks. If you search the web you'll find many a DIY fix ranging from velcro on both sides to using magnetic catches from cabinets. Scrapyards are the cheapest option, (I had to buy the entire center console for R300 from the scrapyard just to get the armrest), or head over to http://www.audiclubsa.org.za/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?board=sales and see if anybody might be selling one that fits.
