Sometimes anti-social, always anti-fascist.
I saw an Audi A4 1.8T this morning, I'm guessing around 2001/02 shape... as in: the one just before the 'long nose' grill shape.

What struck me about it was how low to the ground and 'staunch'/agressive it looked - more so than they usually do.

There was no obvious body kit so I thought that maybe this is how they look if you drop the suspensch.

Can anyone who knows about these things weigh in and either confirm or correct this assertion?

Ta.

It seems I can answer my own question:

I think the difference is the 2002 facelift as this telling sentence from the Canadian Driver (http://www.canadiandriver.com/2002/01/06/test-drive-2002-audi-a4-18t-quattro.htm) test drive indicates:

"A slight change in proportions for 2002 is one of the reasons for the A4’s imposing new look. Riding on a 1.3-inch-longer wheelbase (now 104.3), the new A4 is 2.3 inches longer overall than its predecessor and also stands 1.3 inches wider."

Its quite astonishing the difference that 1.3 inches makes!
