Audi Extended Maintenance/Service Plan

Hi all

I want to purchase a 2nd hand Audi A3 2.0T with 70000km on the clock. I am just not sure if it will be worth it to extend the maintenace/service plan which expires mid year 2012. Does anyone have any idea how much it costs and if its worth it. What kind of track record does this car have after 100000kms?
 
From what Audi told me you can't extend the maintenance plan period, you can only increase the mileage it will be valid until, so just bear that in mind.

I had a 2006 A3 2.0T, bought with 56,000km on the clock. Was fine up until around 85,000km, and then it started becoming a bit problematic.

From 85-96,000km I had to have the clutch, radiator, flywheel, and aircon pipes replaced. Great thing about the maintenance plan though was that all of this was covered and I didn't have to pay a cent, but if I did have to pay, I would've been relieved of around R30k for all this.

It's a great car, but only if it is still under maintenance plan. You'd be better off looking at a 2009 onward A3 1.8T or similar. Bit down on power but it'll have much longer left on the maintenance plan.
 
If you buy pre-owned from an Audi dealership they throw in a 40000km/2year freeway plan. I'm not too sure how a Freeway plan differs from a Maintenance plan.
 
Audi freeway plan is their maintenance plan.
On my S3 they quoted R7xxx to extend it to 120 000 km, u cannot extended years on the audi's
 
The 40000km/2 year Freeway plan starts when you take delivery of your pre-owned Audi.
