Hey gents,
My friend who owns a dealership has one of these babies on his floor. I would like to know if anyone can give me some advice on this car.

I have always really loved the look of the old school A3 and not the fact he has an S3 on the floor,I am willing to finally upgrade from my sheety golf :o

What are the general concerns you guys would warn me against. Obviously mileage is the first worry , I need to check up on that. I did alot of research on Audi second hand cars this last week, and one thing across the line is I see the car is reliable even in the long run and alot of people don't moan.

I will have no worries of replacing a few things here and there yearly (as it's normal with second hand cars).

Can anyone give some advice pls

If you're looking for advice specific to that car you can go chat to the guys here, usually very willing to give info relating to what to look out for.

Buying an old performance car is always a gamble, you should have at least 30k laying around if anything major breaks.

Drive a 1.8 turbo myself. Very reliable cars, just make sure the timing belt has been changed.

As far as I know, if a car has a timing belt it doesn't need changing. Only tightening. Its the can belts that need changing. Not that I'm an expert but my old Cooper had a timing belt and that's what I was told by BMW

Do you mean cam belt? Some times known as a timing belt?
