Is this possible?

I have a cable running to the other side of the house. Two of the wires are being used and there are still two available.
I want to run audio and video over the two wires. Is this possible?

I was thinking about:
Wire 1 - Audio -
- Video +
Wire 2 - Audio +
- Video -

Will this work? Can I only run the positives over the line and earth at the other side? Example:
Wire 1 - Audio +
Wire 2 - Video +

Not bothering about stereo. I wouldn't call me an pro but atleast I probeer. Any help would be appreciated.

You wont be able to mix audio and video over only 1 pair (2 cables). Having a cable share video and audio is like injecting direct noise.

If you had 3 cables it would be possible, ie: (but I highly advise AGAINST doing this)

Cable1: -audio and -video
Cable2: +audio
Cable3: +video

HDMI 1.3 i think can do both video & audio.

else look at those video blaster wireless thingies...

I think you would be combining voltages of the respective audio/video channels and I am sure you would end up damaging your audio/video equipment.
Could be an expensive exercise.

Please post the video of your burning/burnt-out equipment on You Tube for us to laugh at.:D

HDMI cables run both. Otherwise, DO NOT DO SO OVER THE SAME CABLE(S). Simple as that...

If you want to look at extending AV signals over longer distances, rather look at HDMI over ethernet - that is providing both devices support HDMi. There are plenty of resources online on how to go about this.

You can run Cat5 between the 2 points connect to HDMI wall plates. So you will have:

HDMI --> CAT5 -- CAT5 <-- HDMI

I picked up an 2 x Ellies wall plates at Builders Warehouse.
