Not sure if I am in the correct section but here goes.

I need to connect my PS3 and HDPVR to the Logitech Z-5500 system I bought today.

I know Optical connection will be best but the Z-5500 only has 1 optical input. So I would like to buy a splitter box so I don't have to unplug and swap the cable between the PS3 and PVR all the time.

Does anyone know where I can buy something like this, a splitter box or an Optical Y-Cable?

In SA that is.

Also, I have a Sony 40" Bravia F-HD LCD, would you say the best connection for this setup is:
1 x HDMI Cable from PVR to TV
1 x HDMI Cable from PS3 to TV
1 x Optical Cable from PS3 to *Splitter Box to Z-5500
1 x Optical Cable from PVR to *Splitter Box to Z-5500

*That is if I can find a Splitter Box, if not I will have to swap the cable every time.

Any help\suggestions would be much appreciated.

why not optical from TV to Z-5500? The HDMI's carry the audio no?

No, as far as I know HDMI won't carry 5.1 Audio. Well, that is what I read, anyone else run it this way and get DD5.1 and DTS?

There is no HDMI port on the Logitech system, it's only for audio.

Just got home, my TV does not have an optical out port. So I guess the optical splitter is the only option.

You don't need a splitter you need a switch, for HDMI and for optical though you can use Co-axial from the PVR to the control pod, as presently my setup is, Xbox360, PS3 and Mede8er go into the optical and the hdmi switch the PVR goes into HDMI and uses coaxial into the control pod. Both switch boxes I got from HD Cabling.
