What did the audio forensics expert in the US charge you to look at the audio file?I also contacted a audio forensics expert from the US and he says there's now audio in there.

Probably gonna catch flak for this but I'd like to float an alternative theory...

And he did - so you're gonna spend $600 on the software then? That's a lot of money to spend on a suspicion. Start looking for another job (you still need to buy the $600 dollar software though if that's the agreement you had with the 'specialist in the US').Well I told them I would purchase the software if he could provide a demonstration by retrieving audio from that file
If he did I would have purchased it. 599 US$.
Thats reasonable for the scandal I could cause at work.

You're making no sense at all & this tale is falling apart. You about to splash $600 on a bit of software because an audio forensics expert in the US helped you out but you're messing about on an old laptop and wonky combo jacks to record things with? Go buy a decent portable recorder or some spy equipment.By the way my laptop is back in working order.
I had to dig my an ancient laptop to do the recording. Because my new laptop as a headphone/mic combo jack. It won't take a standalone feed microphone. Do any of you know how to connect a microphone only to a combo jack?
I bought an 3.5mm headphone/mic splitter but it doesn't work.
So I just bought an iLuv USB Audio Adapter by Apple. Mac and PC compatible. I hope that works. The old machine is too slow.
Of course I have my own method but how would any of you listen to the audio along the telephone line on the PC?
Oh right. Still - if you were prepared to spend $600 then go buy some decent recording equipment. No he didn't he said there's nothing.
So according to our agreement I don't have to pay.
What suspicion? Also by your logic you're one of the lame lifeformsYour suspicion is of course derived from the fact that you spend most of your time on these forums interacting with lame lifeforms whom no doubt create stimulating fantasies for you and themselves.

If anyone can find any speech in there, I'd be very impressed...
I was just looking at the db histogram for the audio.
Does anyone know how to only play audio less than -60 db?
