Audio note on whattapp

So my wife got this new phone and sends me lots of audio notes.
the problem is they play hard/ loud.
Like today I was the whole day with other people and had to go outside to listen to it, as I dont know how private or personal they might be.

Is there a way to listen to them softly, this is on android system.

Headphones should remedy that.
