Audio & Video Codecs

I use GOM player , after u download and install it. Open the mkv and it will tell u it needs codecs and just select find and download.

www.gomlab.com works like a charm ..

Not sure what the best is, but I personally use Shark007 Codecs with the x64 Components addon since I run a 64bit Windows, allows your Windows Media Player to play everything.

Otherwise you can just grab VLC Media Player plays any video format.

Thanks guys. I will check them all out.

Codec packs tend to completely screw up your system. Just use VLC player, or XBMC or something.

K-Lite mega codec pack 64-bit, Media Player Classic HT edition, Core AVC + AC3 filter

VLC coz it is just so easy. But ye, CCCP also works nicely with WMP. In some cases, I actually found that WMP is more stable than VLC.

I installed XMBC. I like the interface. It looks awesome. Only problem is that some movies doesn't play perfectly through it but it does play through Media Player Classic.

Any ideas why?

Rather just use VLC or install codecs and use Windows Media Player.
