Aussie iBurst Rollout experience

I can tell you now why the rollout isn't as succesful as in Australia. Sentech did the exact same thing. They used "minimum requirements" for their basestations. So instead of using recommended components, they thought they'd save cash with the cheaper versions.

Ultimately it meant that they had to redo alot of their microwave links and some basestations. I can say I am not suprised though.

More for less....

That is so true

I can't understand what is the obsession with money in this country and why companies have this burning desire to save it

Use to work for a wireless ips before and know how it feels to be on the other side as well, back in the days it was WISP and now know as Wavestream. The did the same then, dont know what they up to know. It seems that everyone does it in sa.

the only reason any company exists is to make money

The level of service in south africa has deteriorated in the past couple of years, now everyone wants to rape each other financially. In the end it will all come crashing down

They're taking yours, not true?

And eventually they will lose customers just like Sentech. It cannot carry on this way. Not just directed at IBURST, everyone

halicon - I couldnt agree with you more. I mean - lets completely forget about the whole theory that everything relies on Telkom.

Anyone see the news the other day where they say our Banks are giving us anal as well? Apparently we have some of the highest bank charges in the world.

The people who have the power to change it, dont give a flying #$$[think pretty thoughts]$%^$ about it because they're at the top and it either doesn't apply to them or they dont have to worry about it or pay for it (or they're raping us of so much of our money that it doesn't even make a dent in their pockets).

I SAY WE NEED A RéVOLUTION!!! ;P

A revolution or a coup is all that can save SA now
