Australia to launch its own space programme

Only AUS$50 Million

That's not going to get them far :o

I honestly think someone is trolling the Government here :D And got AUS$ 50 million for their efforts :D

Ausies to actually say arse not ass.

Came to post this

We know that and they know that.

The AUS$50 is just seed funding to get an agency started, not to actually run it, launch rockets or put schite into orbit. It's merely to start getting organisational structures in place.

Yeah rag the Aussies and when you're done have a good look at your own backyard (not you crackersa, talking about sa here) & tell us who's doing better. Let's revisit this topic 10-20yrs down the line and see what progress they've made compared to us pointing fingers and laughing.

Well, we did have a space program before them

Nope, Aussie beat SA by a long way. They had a space programme in the '50's and '60's which they shared with the poms (the poms paid for it). It was very successful and that program went on to become the ESA.

Do some searching on Woomera. There's some good doco's on Youtube.

lol what a name.

well nasa has their p.o.e.s. project :D

They hope to find space crocks and send a team-up of crocodile Dundee Steve Irwin's kid after them.
