Australian senator calls for 'final solution to immigration problem'

Crossbencher Fraser Anning widely condemned for speech praising white Australia policy and pushing for plebiscite on Muslim immigration

An Australian crossbench senator has invoked the term “the final solution” in an inflammatory speech calling for a plebiscite asking voters whether they want to end all immigration by Muslims and non-English speaking people “from the third world”.

Fraser Anning, formerly of the far-right Pauline Hanson One Nation party, and now a member of the Katter’s Australia party, used his maiden speech in the Senate to call for “a plebiscite to allow the Australian people to decide whether they want wholesale non-English speaking immigrants from the third world, and particularly whether they want any Muslims”

The "Liberal Media", the Australian PM, Pauline Hanson (Right wing as they come), a raft of Australian politicians have all condemned the remarks yet somehow this is liberal media click bait...?

In context of the rest of the speech where he praises the "White Australia" immigration policy, you find nothing wrong with him describing a proposed racially discriminatory policy as a "Final Solution"....really?

A final answer to the endless debate, a final vote to put the issue to rest, a final solving of the issue, a final solution.

Up in arms over words.

My thoughts exactly, but it appears that the usage of the simple english term 'a final solution' to clarify a contentious issue such as immigration policy indicates that the person uttering it, must be, or is, a card carrying Nazi sympathiser who is likened to Goebels.

What a screwed up world we live in.

Words matter, genius, and there's no way someone can honestly claim that the inclusion of such a phrase was accidental.

Keeping your western country as white as possible is the single best thing you can do to create a prosperous nation, as signified by data from every country on Earth.
I find the bulls**t idea of "multiculturalism" to be objectionable. I clearly doesn't work.
