Australia's A$50 note misspells responsibility

Australia's latest A$50 note comes with a big blunder hidden in the small print - a somewhat embarrassing typo.

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) spelled "responsibility" as "responsibilty" on millions of the new yellow notes.

The RBA confirmed the typo on Thursday and said the error would be fixed in future print runs.

But for now, around 46 million of the new notes are in use across the country.

The bills were released late last year and feature Edith Cowan, the first female member of an Australian parliament.

Just when you thought their colourful plastic money couldn't get any more ridiculous. :p
 
Lay in a stock now for the future when they will be talking about the rare note with the typo.

I read the American one dollar note, they're nice enough not to hide any text, all quite clear. American's even added a helpful little piece, "This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private".
That's besides the eagle text which is Latin, and if there is anything on the pyramid besides the date at the bottom.

Rand wise:
Don't see anything difficult to read on the R50 madiba note, unless you count the SARB 50 and republic herald on the stripe if held up to light.
Don't see anything else on the R200, R20 or R10. Only have Madiba notes though.

My 1c EUR has the date really tiny at the bottom with an A to the left of the leaf denoting Austria.

Now the invisible ink they use on notes would be interesting.
 
But we need some of that see through goodness of the newer notes here.
