Authentication problems, High Ping and Latency

Currently been experiencing slow internet and high latency and ping on all online application and games.

Also having problems with Authenticating, countless times I gotten Error 691: Access denied messages and next minute it works fine. This is happened many times.

Also where did one of your providers mtn business go? I dont see them anymore on any tracerts after reconnecting. They were offering me better ping time than telkom-ipnet.

Extreme latency tonight , did a speedtest and the results was just really sad .
400+ ping just from CPT to JHB.
not to even mention that im getting 0.26Mb/s download.

webpages eem a little slow to open but gaming is not playable. Please can the guys at iburst let me know if there is any current issues in bellville cape town or somewhere at iburst that you guys are aware of?

I had a ping of 300 in TF2. :/

I usually have a ping of about 70-100. Also, I couldn't watch any of the streaming videocasts from E3, while friends on 384k could. Kinda blows. I'm also in Cape Town.

I have logged a complaint with networks last night. I am expecting an answer this morning.

I tested the authentication issue. It seems as if iBurst does not allow you to disconnect/re-connect in succession within a short period of time 3 times in a row. On the 4th attempt, it give you that error. This past Thursday, I got that error on the 1st connect and ignored it and connected after the 2nd attempt. Afterwards, I decided to mess around a bit...If this is a new system, just inform us.Thanks.
 
Exactly what I experienced besides the high latency last night.
 
Hi guys

We do limit guys connecting multiple times in a row. Some clients set their routers to connect forever at 1 second intervals. We do not want the authentication server going under stress.

I took me just 3-5 attempts in a row which I feel is too little, I was locked out for a long time and couldnt use iBurst. Can this be change to lock out on much more attempts in a row? 3-5 seems way to little.

Any luck in the latency issue?

Pings stay around 55ms-68ms on local servers.
 
I cant raid world of warcrat raids at all at the moment .
This is really frustrating. A latency of 1400 is not fun .
 
Lag is back again, I cant believe this, its unplayable :( Sort this out please, endless hassles all the time.....
 
I am experiencing the same thing in WoW.

Constant disconnecting, high lag, unplayable except between trash pulls when I can tell everyone how sorry I am that I dont have proper internet.

I am in Northriding, probably connecting to Roodekrans tower or one in Wilgeheuwel.

I have a directional antenna.

My friends in Roodekrans have the same problem. Think one of them is shouting at the iBurst customer service person right now.

This is sad
 
Yep, signal in our area (Joburg North) has also been terrible of late. At least over the last 3 days.

I couldnt browse any sites on iBurst at 12:10 last night, it just didnt respond to anything.

Latency also seemed to spike alot last night, which made it very frustrating to use online applications and games.

Would like an update on this as its been unplayable as of late......are network guys looking into it?

Im seriously not going to be happy if it happens again tonight :(
