is there anyway to schedule my 3G connection to dial up at a certain time and disconnect at another

I have 1gb free data expiring on the 30th and it mayb only be used from 12am to 5am and i would like to be able to let it dialup at 12am download a file then switch off at 4am

IS this possible??

You should be able to schedule it using the Windows scheduler.

You can connect & disconnect the 3G connection (or so I think) with the rasdial.exe command-line application.

If you name your 3G dialup connection like 'vodacom', then you can connect with the following command: 'rasdial vodacom'
and disconnect with the following: 'rasdial vodacom /disconnect'

Forget the dial-up. Just leave it running when you go to bed. Schedule the download side...thats much easier. Pretty much all the download managers can do that.
