Hi

I`m just wondering if any1 might know of an application or some way to automatically switch isp accounts on a router? (Linksys WAG160N)

Ideally I would like to use a full speed but capped account during the day and then automatically switch to axxess express account at night. Its for a student commune so i`m not actually there to switch the accounts every day. The 384k during the day is just to slow.

Or if any1 knows of a better deal than afrihosts 100Gig for R950 special for large usage or uncapped in that price range please lemme know, considering the options still :)

There is probably a better option, but could you use a remote access program, like Team Viewer?

I can use remote connection to the router as well....but cant do that every day. It will have to be automated to make sense. Thx for the reply

It is easily done with my Linksys script and a cron job running on the WRT54GL. It changes default route from TI/Afrihost at 8pm to Axxess uncapped, and then back again at 8 am Mondays to Fridays. So I always have fast internet. I just have to schedule downloads after hours.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what kind of scripting can be run on the WAG160N, whether the factory firmware allows any scripting, or whether any 3rd party firmware can be installed. I know it doesn't run dd-wrt, so it can't use my script.
