Good day...

I would like to know if there is something like Auto shut down for a computer?
Because I want to download things, but I can't shut down the computer after I'm done, so I want to know if anyone know of such thing..

THanks

flashget > tools > shutdown when done
uTorrent > options > auto shutdown > etc
probably a feature of most dl clients...

you can set a batch file..

shutdown -s -t (time in seconds)

just use calculator to multiply how many minutes you want * by 60
for example a three minutes shutdown would be:

shutdown -s -t 120

but im sure all download managers/ download things have an auto shutdown feature, look in the setting or options or preferences tab
and i think you can make a batch file like this:

shutdown -s
and then set Windows Task Schedule to run it at a specific time...

If you're using Firefox to download something, use the Auto Shutdown plugin.

sounds complex.. think i'm going to stick to the Downloader system thingy...

gadgets on windows 7 or vista has a gadget that autoshuts down or even restarts...

Wow, I didn't know that window 7 has that function, but the computer I"m using in on window Xp.. so it won't work..

thanks anyway ^ ^

Well I'm planning to do a huge download, and the site I'm downloading from doesn't allow me to download more than one at once... so it's going to take me a while if I'm going to use firefox.. so I think i'm just going to use a downloader.

Thanks anyway
