1. Download IFTTT - Android / iOS
2. Create an aaccount by signing in with your Google or Facebook accounts
3. Create your own applet (See screenshot)
4. Applet works as follows: IF This > Date and time > Every Day at > 08h00 > Create Trigger > Then That > Android SMS > Send an SMS > Phone Number 31050 > Message > STOP > Create Action
5. All set up

This will work on Vodacom only. Just change the SMS number and message for different carriers.

I am also logging SMSes via a google spreadsheet to keep proof of all inbound SMS'es. There was an article about it on MyBB previously. I may seem paranoid, but I call it a learning experience because I am not falling for Vodacom's thievery again.

While this is a very elegant solution, it doesnt help if you are subscribed legally to a wasp i.e. Deezer music subscription.

Do you know if their is a way to get just a list of subscriptions via sms?
