Hi Guys,

Looking for a Windows application that automatically syncs files between two computers.

My dilemma: I have setup my Raspberry PI with Sickbeard + SABnzbd + Samba (Does all my downloading). Now when I switch on my Media Server (HP Server running Windows + XBMC), I would like my PI downloads to automatically copy to the correct folders on my media server.

eg.
PI External HDD:
/media/USBHDD/Downloads/Show_1S01E01
/media/USBHDD/Downloads/Show_1S01E02
/media/USBHDD/Downloads/Show_2S02E01

Should automatically sync to the correct folders on my Media Server eg.
D:\TV Shows\Show_1\Season 1\
D:\TV Shows\Show_2\Season 2\

My example may seem complicated by lets see whats the closest solution:wtf:

I use AllWaySync to synchronise photos between a couple of pc's

Yep, AllWaySync is great, but when you go past a certain level of data transfer it starts bugging you to buy the full version.
That's the only drawback, but it really is the most versatile program.

We use the full registered version at our offices.

Otherwise use Microsof't SyncToy.

Also bought it for our office.

You could try loading Toucan on the Windows box. You could use the GUI to define a sync job and then write a simple (trivial) .bat script to run the job on Windows startup and/or as a scheduled task.

Free open source software too so no adverts or trial period.

Can you set multiple folders to sync?

Yes, you create "jobs".
Each job is set up in a new tab and has particular attributes configured for that job.
Time of transfer
Direction of transfer
delete or not delete
etc.

I use DirSyncPro to sync work stuff from my laptop to a backup PC.

1. Just use Sickbeard to download to the server.

2. Why would you ever turn a server off, that's the whole point of having it...

Don't want to always keep on server on, hence I am using the PI as a Always-On-Downloader.

How to I use Allway sync to sync "The Simpsons" for example to another folder?
eg.
Inclusion filter:
1. *.mp4 - files in subfolder
2. Simpsons - filename

The above Inclusion rules copies all mp4 files and all folder structures.
