I have two contracts remaining with Autopage, both expire this year sometime, but I'm done.
We transferred the debit order to the discovery card because of this years ago, but we have never gotten a cent back.
Middle of last year the credit card expires and we get a new one. I phone autopage to update the card details.
In October I start getting sms's saying that the card has expired and I need to update the details. 4 phone calls and 5 different people later I am assured that its changed. Note the quality of customer service there, they send me one sms and I have to make 4 phone calls and stay on hold for how long to ensure that they do their job.
I get a letter of demand from them this month saying I owe them money and they are about to hand me over.
Note, that the line is still active at this point and I'm making calls and receiving them happily.
I phone the number on the letter of demand and have a crap. It seems now that they managed to change the details on one account, but not the other. Nobody there has the brains to look at the two accounts an notice that the difference between the one that went through and the one that did not is two digits.
Never mind the fact that I have been trying unsuccessfully to get them to put through one debit order for both numbers for years.
The lady there, Charmain I think was quite helpful. She managed to change the account details to the correct ones and told me that the corrected debit order should go through and all is well. She apologizes for the letter of demand. Again she assures me that all is well.
I check my cc account and they had tried to put through the debit order three times, and somehow, every time they did it put the money on hold in my account. So I phone them again. Some guy confirms with me that the account details have been changed. He says very sorry about the money on hold there is nothing they can do about it I must just wait for the bank to release it after 21 days or something. Not a train smash but still frikkin annoying.
Today they suspended the line. I have phoned them twice now to find out whats going on and both times they have just cut me off. The first time after being on hold for a bit and the second time in mid shpeil.
They have all my details. Do you think they will phone me back? its been an hour now and no phone call.
Note the quality of customer service.
Now I have to phone them back, sit on hold, and redo the schpiel to another call centre person!
So my options here are what?
Port my numbers to new contracts and just pay these until its all done?
