Autostyle.co.za- any good?

They both look really nice. Think I'd like to spend maybe half of that though, if possible.

The excess of my insurance for car audio is like R1600 so I would not be able to claim should it get stolen, which would p1ss me off no end. At least iif it was not too expensive, then I would not care so much.

When they cleaned out my car the last time, I'd gathered about R5k's worth of car audio including gifts from friends and family and the like, all of which they took :(

Get all my stuff from them...

and where do u get it installed? i wanna buy some stuff from them but last time i went there they didnt do any installations at all

Eish getting your stuff stolen is a NO NO!!

I've been fortunate that I've never had my vehicles broken into :o

USB input is cardinal nowadays - I'm rather irritated with flipping CD's all the time now as well.

Will scout around and see what deals there are for ya man.
But half of what JK8 pointed out is going to be tough to beat ;)

Haha - found one at Soundmatch.

Now noted its the ICEPower range - I have no knowledge of the head units, but the 2000watt and 5000watt amps I have from them in my car deliver and have never disappointed.

Granted peeps are gonna sling mud at me - but its in the price range you were looking at and it doesn't look bad.
MP3/USB and remote - can't go wrong I'd imagine.

Anyway for R649.00 worth it - so have a look ;)

Ya, I checked that one out. Nice price, doesn't look too great though. I saw a few LG and Pioneer units with USB at hificorp the other day for under R1000. Well I saw it on a flyer- problem is will they really have stock of the damn thing? :p

Stay away from LG car audio products ;)

Also, what I was thinking at first was having some kind of mp3 player with an iTrip type thing attached to it and playing music through the Velociti's radio(which is the only thing that still works).

Problem with this is that the mp3 player would no doubt have to be plugged in somewhere which could be a mission, there don't seem to be many non-iPod devices around that do this for less than R1000.

Also, my aerial is on the back of the roof, which means, I am sure, that sound clarity might not be the best :(

Have you bought anything from them? Do you know what their delivery time is like? Site says 2-5 days normally...

And what about payment options- I don't have a credit card.

Yeah long ago, but I went to the store. Not sure about alternate payment options, maybe email or call them.

I've bought a few things fro Autostyle, picked them up from the store, never had any problems, and service/response to emails have been good.

Didnt see any specifically for the store, I just parked at their front door.

Its a little store right next to a road... i.e. not a mall type environment.

Just be careful when buying car radios from them - not all the radio's are European spec and therefore do not have RDS. They can get a Euro-spec model for you is you ask.

Specifically check this on Pioneer and Sony models. No matter what they tell you, we don't get XM-Satellite radio here, only in the USA.

where do u guys get ur stuffs installed after u buy from autostyle? or do u install them urselves?

lcbxx - Now you tell me dammit... spent R3200 on a Pioneer head unit with no RDS :(

Down the road theres a shop that installs sound, quite a few shops in the area. R500 for non indians:p R300 for us.:o

 Whats so special about a R3000 radio?

Nothing... Bluetooth built in... (external mic), and ipod cable.

So... take an average car radio, add bluetooth car kit, add ipod connectivity, probably comes to more than R3200.00
