Hello guys

I wanted to know I drive a Mercedes SLK. In the front of the compartment their is a Aux output. The guy from Mercedes said you can connect your Ipod to the auxiliary out-put and you will be able to play mp3's and such through the radio.

Now what I want to know is can you connect a laptop through a auxiliary cable to via your sound card? and play win amp through there?

Or are there other ways??
is it even possible?

thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can connect anything that puts out sound ;)

It's just a Line IN

Isn't the aux a standard 3.5mm stereo audio?

If so, just the 3.5mm > 3.5mm on the other side. You'll get sound, not sure how great it will be :/

For you laptop, you just need those small stereo headphone jacks (honestly google if you want the measurements but it's around 3.5mm or something jack).

I assume the car's Aux in also has such a small jack, then you just get a cable that goes from the small jack to small jack. Hifi-corp sell them. Other places may be cheaper (flea market for example)

Edit: Dolby beat me :p Mercedes OEM sound systems are pretty good, PC sound cards beat any car audio noise wise (SNR and those).
