Now, I hope you have bass traps and a mat.
You might go for a stronger amp afterall as you do not want to underpower your speakers as this can damage it as well.
As for the doors on both ends, would this not be a problem when placing your speakers in those corners?

Don't have the bass traps and a mat.........yet . As for the door openings, my TV and all the main components are situated at the opposite end of the room against the wall where there are no openings. So only the two rear satellites will be mounted at the back close to these openings.

haha still have my Sony minidisc player and a portable one and the hifi in kitchen has mini disc built in.
They were awesome at the time replacing the casette player but just didnt take off

I got the Denon AVR1400H replaced this year by the AVR2400H model and loving it. it has support for HLG via firmware update the only thing I see that this unit doesn't have .

Loving the Denon coming from a SONY AV

Pick n Pay hyper here in Brackenfell had this on special for R3999 this weekend. Bought it to replace my old lg 5.1 dvd home theatre. Really good value for money and the sound is brilliant.
