Hey All

Just a shot in the dark .. hope someone can comment ... I see Canaan have dropped the price of the Avalon A7 in the last 2 days when ordering 60 units at a time. Im not a big enough miner to come up with 45K USD, but am wondering if theres a place that miners hang out online, which is well trusted, where maybe a group order can be placed for 3 or 4 instead of 60 :) ..

HI Jetlee

Bitmart has been around for a while and we mine with all the miners we can find to create proof of concept and determine reliability of hardware before selling them.
We have a community of over 11000 members on our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/bitcoinmarketplace/
We also import the hardware and sell them as well as install them where needed. We do small to large scale deployments and we have successfully deployed over 5000 miners since we started.
There is a getting started guide on our website and you can find a few bits of info to help you get going on our Blog. Feel free to visit our site on https://www.bitmart.co.za
Our office number is 0870953431

We have also started the Bitmart Shepherd Service to help people buy and sell used Mining Hardware. See it as the watchdog of the industry so to speak. We ensure people don't get stuck with units that are not working or miners that are sold to unsuspecting miners and then has burnt chips or that is not mining efficiently. We also offer repairs on any broken miners and facilitate the entire process from top to bottom.

Regarding that Avalon 7 60 unit kit. We sell and install it for clients you can check it out here we also advise before hand on the environment preparations and the power requirements. https://www.bitmart.co.za/product/avalon-7-438ths-farm/ (With Power Supplies Controllers and all parts needed that is not supplied by suppliers are included.)

Thanks for this

Unfortunately your all in cost seems to be 1.8Mil ZAR, which is a massive leap over the 600k ZAR that 45k USD converts to .. If I didnt have 45K USD , I definately dont have 1.8Mil ZAR. I was looking for a way to get 2 or 3 A7 at close to 800 USD .. I see you sell separately, but this equates to 2250 USD per unit .. which at half the hashrate, makes the S9 much more attractive.

I was looking to take advantage of the price drop at the time, but if you are anticipating retailing A7's at under 16K ZAR, then this makes the Avalon more competitive in the S9 space ..

I am currently a GPU miner on a small scale (12 GPUS), but am considering my next purchase might not be GPU's, and I am considering ASICS at this time, but didnt want to spend more than about 50K - 60K ZAR, and am considering all options at this point.

Initially I was looking to maybe get 3 A7 miners plus the Pi and PSU, as that wouldve been close to my price at around 50 - 60K .. but its a bridge too far to get 2x S9 in the same pricing .. which leaves too much dead money for me ..
