You could get a long-term one, but that means a wedding ring, ceremony for the whole family, etc etc. So quite expensive too.

You're coming across as if to say that the price at which a woman sells her body for is directly proportional to the number of STD/STI's she has. Apologies if that's not the case.

That's exactly my point, I look at cheap hookers the same way I look at cheap booze. If it's cheap it's probably nasty, however the inverse isn't true (very expensive doesn't always mean great).

Sure, there can be some examples like the one you listed where you get a "bargain" (i.e. cheap and good), this applies to alcohol and hookers. But it's far from the average case.
 
Between R500/hr to R3000/hr, depending in the "class" of prostitute and services you want. Anything less than that and you're probably going to be in for something siff. And honestly, would you want to scoff and pay R50 when paying for sex?

Around 2001 I rented a place in Sea Point just round the corner from the infamous Sizzlers gay (massacre) massage parlour.
