Re: False Positive Confirmed..

Hello all,

I would like to inform you that Trojan horse Agent3.CEOY is false detection and will be fixed in next virus update.

Thank you

An afternoon wasted chasing ghosts.

As of 18:00 19 Oct. the pattern had not been fixed.

I installed Adobe Reader 9 as a workaround.

Funny story. I needed a t-shirt printed at one of those wagon stalls inside Pavillion. The guy checked my flashdisk using AVG Free, no viruses, shirt printed. Get home, put the flashdisk in my PC and MSE picks up 2 viruses. Go figure!

Btw, I hope you're using Adobe Reader X because you have to. FoxIt Reader is so much better (smaller footprint, more features etc, no f'ing Adobe Updates every quarter hour)

Lol that guy is still using AVG, then he says you put viruses on his Pc when he already has viruses on his Pc.

Reason I ditched AVG is some times when I wanted to install software, I first had to disable it due to false positives. Avast or MSE is a much better free AV.

how much resources does avast take up vs avg? can you download an update file, put it on a usb then update avast from that file? this is pretty much the only reason im using avg.

Im sick of avg giving false positives from legit install files.
