AVI viewer

Whenever I try to view an AVI file, it opens in Windows Media player, tries to download come codec, and then fails.

what program is nice to watch AVI files with?

VLC is good...but it looks a bit too ugly for everyday use. Rather use it your streaming video requirements and to play that ONE file which just doesn't work
