Avoid prepaid credit 'contracts' from 3rd parties

On Wednesday last week my phone was signed up for Fashini's prepaid monthly credit contract
but when we realised that it was a 2 year contract (after the sales-woman said it wasn't) we decided to cancel it.

As a result my phone was inaccessible for 3 days after cancellation as the MTN network didn't recognize my sim-card, I had to re-register my Sim with RIKA and the R150 airtime i had on my phone was gone.

How a contract with a 3rd party can affect every aspect of the prepaid account is beyond my intellect.

So please do not use this service, you'll only be promoting them.

yes I agree Foshini is a rip off with contracts

what makes it more pathetic is that my phone was signed up without my knowledge, so i can go subscribe any number to my foschini account then cancel the contract and someone will get there phone disabled. they will then lose all loaded airtime and their phones will be inaccessible for 3-4days.
