Avoid the M1 North

If you're travelling around JHB today avoid the M1 North. The highway has been closed between Empire and Jan Smuts.

The M1 north-bound highway has been closed between Empire and Jan Smuts off-ramps in Johannesburg this morning, reports Talk Radio 702.


The highway has been closed after a truck and trailer accident, resulting in paint being spilt on the road surface.


According to the report, the truck driver’s leg was amputated due to the accident.


Expect heavy delays from the Crown interchange, warns the Traffic Connect hotline.

Hectic. I thought this was going to be a thread stating that it would be best to avoid the M1 north because all the PTA mofos have decided to stay home this year and as usual are clogging up the highway from the Woodmead offramp to Midrand and beyond.
