I don't own a CC, so I wanted some answers here.

Are all CC's interest free for 55 days?
If so, isn't it possible to buy stuff a month in advance without interest?

Should you pay your salary into your CC?
Are there any other weird charges involved?

I'm with Capitec atm.

No. Yes. No. Yes.

Consider yourself awared. ;)

- Interest free period is relative to statement date, not date of purchase (you have a window period)
- Not all credit cards are 55 days interest free, make sure you check and confirm
- Cash transactions (withdrawing money) attract interest immediately (so don't do this)
- As above, same with transfers and EFTs (from credit card to another account)
- You pay a monthly card fee for your credit card, be aware of this (Virgin CC is free of this)
- You can pay your fuel with your credit card (in the recent past, this wasn't possible)

Basically if you stay within your limits, settle in full at each due date, you'll be fine. A CC is then a wonderful, convenient tool in this regard.

If you can't or aren't disciplined, well then you will learn what most of us have (including myself).

u aware brah'?
