Axxess 4Mbps 200GB

Dear fellow MyBroadbanders

I am thinking of doing the whole ADSL internet thing now for the first time.

I will be doing the landline rental through Telkom and a 4Mbps ADSL line through Axxess and 200GB data through Axxess as well.

Do you think this is a good choice and that the 200GB would be sufficient for a family of 4-5 for general use. Mostly social media and some light YouTube streaming (I have no ShowMax or Netflix etc) and e-mailing and banking every now and then?

Best you start off with the 4mbps uncapped deal from Telkom for R599pm. It's a very neat fully integrated bundle. If you are unhappy you can simply cancel and take the line only.

200Gb should be fine, we're a family of 4, stream on average 2 hours p/d with general browsing, game updates etc. we never go over 200Gb. Any large downloads I schedule to happen after hours.

ADSL will be phased out in the near future. Rather look for VDSL, Fiber or LTE
