Axxess 626 has 600+ ms latency

Dont get Axxess 626 for playing WOW. This "unshaped" is giving me 600+ ms latency, more often 700+ than not. I questioned Axxess about this since I experienced 350ms with other unshaped and they said that this is running on IS fibre and that 600ms is normal.

Cancelling my subscription and warning others who might expect latencies similar to other unshaped accounts.

Ask them to change you over to the SAIX backbone (I was put onto IS and suffered from 600-900ms)

So its just not me experiencing this, I don't know if unshaped on a 386 line will have a big difference, but on my telkom account i get avg 750ms. Decided to try this 626 unshaped, and got the same freaking latency 700ms average. and it jumps around alot.
Is it normal to only to get about 50-100ms less latency on a 386 line from shaped to unshaped?
At the end of the day I can just as well cancel my 626 and continue on my telkom account.

buy a gig pay-as-you-go from them (axxess) and try that I get sub 400ms use to be sub 300ms but that was 6 months ago and it was on my 386 line

600ms for IS Fibre is not normal, I get around 400-450ms on mine(openweb IS Fibre), sometimes better.

I'm using axxess normal prepaid accounts, buy either 1gb or 2gb as required. My average latency the last week is around 285ms, spiking too 400ms now and then and going as low as 220ms at times.

the payg unshaped from axxess is most dependable option for me, but a bit steep. i can easily use 120mb per raid if not more, so getting only 6-8 raids from a gig is heavy on the wallet.

on the other hand, getting engaged recently will solve that problem. less wow inc

I am also having the same problems with WebAfrica's Unshaped. with ave. ping of 500 and spikes towards the 800-900 mark.

I use the 626 unshaped and I find no problems except for odd latency spikes at certain times. When this happens I usually jump to a different account from different ISPs. The high latency is also present there. So I don't think it's a problem with the 626 account but with IS in general.

The 626 account gives latencies of 250 - 320 ms for most the time and when it spikes I get around 450 -550 ms. These spikes usually last for around 30 min.
