Anyone else getting insane latency on their connections? I'm having 600ms and up from the first handshake with Axxess ISP onwards. This is not on. Submitted support tickets with massive delays in having responses 6-9 hours+ with one liners in return.

Also any with Axxess noticing some sites weren't accessible yesterday?

It's not our PC's, we've checked everything under the sun, its the network. perhaps Afrihost/MTN network bleeding over?

What the hell?

Please PM us your account number so we can look into this from our side.

Hi Axxess Lady,

Just got back home. Latency seems to be around 200ms now with the odd 28ms. I've had a support ticket open over 27 hours ago, it's still there, thanks.

Getting around 5 mbps DL on a 20 mbps line. Have had enough of this ongoing issue on a capped account. Will be moving elsewhere next month.

I've been looking for something around 200gigs a month at most for under R400. Ridiculous how internet in our country is getting worse and worse when it should be increasing in capacity and developments with pricing falling as expansion continues. Oh and still have an outstanding support ticket waiting for them... don't think they'll be able to fix it though, as its clear we not the only ones being affected. *sigh*

I've had one open for months and they still haven't fixed it. Waiting for Afrihost, their parent co. to put in a new network. That's taking a while too.

Even some routing issues too it appears, still having problems connecting to sites. Seems to change every few days. Having a timeout to a site in London. Also noticing that IP must be getting changed every few hours or so as I have to relogin to places when before I never had to.

Before this "POC" they were going on about upgrades and how better the network will be... that was over a year ago. I think they just refocus the "hope" attention and move the imaginary timeline so that there's always a delay, one way or another.

Eventually a reply, stating the obvious, they say they having upstream issues, packet loss. Latest support ticket I had.

I see there is an Axxess thread that someone made, think it was you ECape, I'll maybe post in there next time.

I saw that new capacity has been installed for internet access in Africa... guess this submarine cable is not getting used by SA ISP's ha!!

Browsing is terrible today, sites not loading, high latencies... but hey what do we know, as AntiGanda mentioned, apparently this site is unreliable... like our internet connection.
