Axxess and port forwarding

Do any of you ever get any issues with port forwarding and axxess uncapped? I'm having trouble getting torrent ports unblocked on my axxess account, while on my Afrihost account it seems to work fine.

i'm guessing you're connecting the AH account with a PPPOe dialup from your PC , and not thru the router? coz thats prolly why the AH account works.
 
No, I connect through the router, My NAS and my firewall is set up correctly, so it should work. No one else has issues with this?
 
I am having issues trying to view my Camera's externally, I am with Axxess and my Fibre Line with Vumatel.
The Wifi router has port forwarding feature however with my previous service provider i had Wireless Microwave Link i was given access to the Mikrotik router and i opened whichever ports i needed, not sure if with the Fibre it works the same way ?? Any suggestions ??

Yes it should be exactly the same. You would need to login to the router and then you would be able to forward the ports from there or use a DMZ function if you wanted too.

Hi Thanks for your reply, i called Axxess asked them for the user name and password for the back end, they said "they do not manage port forwarding i must go to portforwarding.com" 2nd response is i had to get hold of Vumatel, i then called Vumatel they referred me back to my "Upstream Provider" QUOTE : " When enabling, it is not on the CPE devices. That is configured specifically by the upstream provider to allow authentication on 1 port for DHCP. "

What router did you get from Axxess or do you use your own router?
 
Hi, i use the supplied Tenda Router, i have a Fibre 20\20 package with you guys and Vuma Line.
I have activated port forwarding on the Tenda switched it around and played with various ports and nothing happens. I have a provision DVR and it allows for the DDNS to allow access however still nothing. I created a DDNS account for the router and the status says connected however still am unable to get to the DVR or even the router from outside, hence me suspecting the ports issue
