Axxess business uncapped accounts "managed" again

Beware if you were thinking of leaving Afrihost for Axxess and saving a few bucks, that Axxess have made a U-turn on their "24/7 Unshaped" policy. I've received confirmation that one of my accounts is now "managed" due to an AUP update that was posted on 29 August 2014 (conveniently after you can't cancel the account before September anymore).
 
I've noticed some daytime shaping that is new as of this month. Anyone else? Sigh.. had one blissful month and now back to kark.
 
Hope they loose the vast amount of business customers for this sorta move

Paying for a premium service that behaves exactly the same as the standard ones. Time to move back to a "home" account I guess. At least that way you actually get what you pay for :)
 
Stop trying to archive the Internet and maybe this wouldn't happen

Why don't you worry about your own usage instead of trying to dictate others?

Of course there's nothing wrong with Axxess misleading people into signing up for their accounts with their false promises of "unshaped 24/7", it's all the greedy customers'fault.

Just because they said they would allow 24/7 unshapedness, doesn't give a green light for all to do that. Clearly you guys are bleeding them dry and had no choice but to do this.

In all fairness, you guys who want to DL 24/7, get a "real" business account @ 4 times the price IMO.

I get your point tho about them changing the T's&C's willy nilly, but what else can they do, push up the price?

If the Axxess business account were marketed properly, I wouldn't have gone anywhere near it. So they basically claim their account can do what other business accounts can do (24/7 unshaped) but at a quarter of the price. That's what pulled me in and that's plain false advertising.

What they can do is market their products properly and refund the clients that feel misled. I asked for a pro-rata refund and cancellation of my account (that I'm no longer using) since it was no longer the same account that I signed up for and they shrugged and pointed at their T&Cs.
