Hi,

Has anyone with an Axxess account found lately that streaming seems slower than usual. I'm convinced that Axxess is shaping/managing capped traffic. The last weeks I find that any series or movie I stream on my 10mb link buffers constantly. For some reason all starts functioning normal after 12am. Any series or movie in HD that I have watched after 12am seems to cache the whole stream to the end in about 5 to 10 minutes.

Having a similar issue with Afrihost. Took a chance and tried watching the F1 Race, and it was pausing every 4 minutes or so. Very annoying.

Yes. It's not just you..

Everything is horribly shaped on my side with 40mb capped. It has been this way for the past month or two and I'm really tired of it.

They have until the 24th to fix it before I cancel.

Axxess is SUPER dodgy when it comes to this. Thing is, which ISP to next? Checking other posts on other ISP's there don't seem to much difference in the complaint department when it comes to speed etc. Axxess in my view has become to big for their shoes and can't keep up with the demand. So they secretly manage/shape traffic including capped accounts to balance it out. Coming clean could possible mean a mass cancelation of accounts.

I see now that my ping tonight again is running at almost 150ms with a speedtest of under 1mb. This is becoming the norm of late as I usually get no more than 9ms ping and constant 9mb speedtest with the Chrystal test account. Axxess is always putting blame on the port, recreate the port, reboot the router, maybe it's a telkom issue blah blah blah blah.
