Just wanted to say that they are great. I ordered a 1Gig prepaid account from them and it works flawlessly. **waiting on telkom to come get me**

Hmmm cool but their prices are not the cheapest but good service.

I had ***a service ordering via eft, took numerous phone calls and about 2 weeks of emailing to get the lousy gig i purchased, now I just buy my gigs at engen so I dont have to deal with any horrid call centre that cant seem to do their job.

The performance of their service is quite disgusting from my experience. I can't wait for this gig to finish so I can go back to Telkom ISP of all things.

I have been happy with them. Service is very good. They aren't the cheapest but I have learnt to pay a bit extra if I am happy with the service.

I use a credit card and have had no problems. I have read of a couple of guys having issues with EFT...

I always get good Telephone support from Axxess. I resell Axxess account so all pay payments are via Eft. After making payment I just email the proof to support and with 10 minutes or so the Amount reflects in my reseller account. I create the accounts myself so I dont have a problem waiting.

i bought a gb from them and it ran over and then they charged me again so i said wtf and they said you ran over the 1 gb, so i said all i wanted was 1 gb why dont you just cut or block the account when it hits 1gb - so their answer was no we give you 5gb to use but charge you extra for anything above the 1gb - bunch of effing crooks imho!!

Hi lived666

PM me your username and I will have a look at what went wrong with your account.

If axxess begin selling IS accounts too they would get much more customers

Hi lived666

Hi, nothing went wrong, it is the way you guys have setup your system.
I got capped by telkom and normaly I just top-up with telkom when that happens, but I thought wtf they don't need to get rewarded for capping me, so I tried your service - and purchased a 1gb top-up, which I gather was a pay as you go account, which I understood was that you can use up to 1gb whenever during a12 month period, and when you hit 1gb its finished.

The first problem was that as soon as I signed up I received an email saying that I would be debited every month, so I had to cancel that as I did not sign up for a monthly contract.

Then when you login it shows you your usage percentage - says used 5%, 10% etc but for some unknown reason known only to your accounts department, when you purchase a 1gb account they give you 5gbs - so when it says you have used 10% its actually 50% of the 1gb - which they don't tell you.

Then when you reach the 1Gb, your account is not stopped, rather it runs over and you are charged a certain rate per mb, which is fine, AS LONG AS SOMEONE BOTHERS TO TELL YOU!!

So a few issues here:

1. Why is a 1gb account allowed to run over? If I wanted 5gbs I would have purchased 5gbs, and then why even stop at 5gbs and why even call it a 1gb account when its not that?
2. If it is allowed to run over, why is no email generated from your system saying you have reached your 1gb limit and will now be charged x amount per mb used?
3. Why on a once off purchase do you set it up to restart on a monthly basis?

I don't mind paying for usage, but If I pay for 1 Gb I expect to get 1GB and then if you do allow the user to run over then at least notify via email that extra charges will now occur.
I think your method shows a bit of desperation to earn extra income - but its cool, it wasn't much extra, R84 or so, but its the last time I will use your service and I will advise anyone else who uses it to be extremely careful and monitor the costs!

I use prepaid - if it runs over then I score.

If it stops at the 1Gb mark, and refuses to go further, then I purchase another account :D

I have local prepaid and shaped Int prepaid. It works just fine for when I want to do big downloads from local sites with the local prepaid and Int stuff when my normal account at another ISP is capped.

Bottom line: Did not have any issues with Axxess to date.

One MUST make sure you sign up for the correct service.

Maybe you selected the monthly accoount instead of pre-paid by mistake.

I believe that there is a option you can choose to auto top up when you reach your cap.
